Shopping: Honey, Be

We combed the stores for products worth buzzing over.

1 It smells so delicious, you almost want to smear Burt’s Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Crème ($6.19) on a cupcake, not on your hands. At Longs Drugs, www.longs.com.

2 Drizzle just the right amount of honey on your toast with this dipper ($4) from The Compleat Kitchen. Locations at Ala Moana Center, 944-1741 or Kahala Mall, 737-5827.

3 Locally produced, organic Lehua Blossom honey, from Big Island Bees, has a light, delicate flavor. It’s available at Pat’s Island Delights, 841 Bishop St., Suite 155, 536-1414, or 98-450 Kamehameha Highway, 484-8808. Or order directly at www.bigislandbees.com.

4 Kids don’t like washing their hands? They will with this foaming Honey Pot Hand Soap ($6.99) from The Organic Sudz Co. Down to Earth, 2525 South King St., 947-7678.

5 L’Occitane uses a blend of honey and royal jelly in its Honey Harvest line, which includes an Extra Foaming Bubble Bath ($18) and incense sticks ($16). L’Occitane, Ala Moana Center, 949-0800.

6 Seduce your senses with Lush’s Honey Trap lip balm ($7.95), Honey Bee fizzing bath ball ($5.95) and Honey I Washed The Kids soap ($7.95). Lush, Ala Moana Center, 941-7400.

7 The brewers of Oregon Honey Beer ($8.64 for a six-pack) swap in bit of honey for some of the barley. The resulting beer is smooth, non-bitter, with a luminescent honey color. Safeway, www.safeway.com.
