Maddog Saloon

Don’t be intimidated by the name. When we popped into Maddog Saloon, there was nothing canine or saloon-like about the joint. The less than two-year-old establishment is really just a sports bar, with pool tables, flat-screen TVs and a small stage for its live rock and reggae entertainment. So what’s with the bar’s name? “Mad Dog” is the nickname of co-owner Gary Derks, a veteran in the local nightclub business.
