Koa Board Sports

There’s nothing flashy about Koa Board Sports—and that’s why local surfers dig this surf shop on Koa Avenue, a block mauka of Kuhio Beach. It’s a cramped, one-stop shop with everything from Birdwell surf shorts to Hoven sunglasses to FCS fins. And Koa offers a wide selection of epoxy surfboards to buy or rent. (Rentals cost $25 per day, a great option if you’re considering buying one. Epoxy boards can cost upwards of $1,000.) It’s also one of the few places on O‘ahu where you can take your dinged epoxy board to get it fixed.
