Spark

Spark is one part trendy boutique, two parts owner Masa Iwata’s personal collection of vintage everything, from T-shirts to sidewalk skateboards. Spark first opened on Kalakaua Avenue more than 10 years ago and moved to this corner spot on Royal Hawaiian Avenue at the end of 2006. Amid shiny, new Nike shoes and Spark’s own graphic tees are a treasure trove of collectibles—hula swing dolls, old-school surfboards and beat-up Coca-Cola signs. We even found faded Levis for $185 and a vintage McDonald’s aloha shirt for $450.

345 Royal Hawaiian Ave. #10, Waikiki, 923-6373, www.sparkhawaii.com.
