Surfing’s Triple Crown

What’s up, surfers? The VAN’S TRIPLE CROWN OF SURFING is right around the corner (held the four best surf days during each competition’s schedule). The first jewel of the Triple Crown kicks off at the Op Pro Hawai‘i, Nov. 12 to 26, at Ali‘i Beach Park. The competition moves to Sunset Beach between Nov. 24 and Dec. 6 for the O’Neill World Cup of Surfing and finishes off with the World Championship Tour Rip Curl Pro Pipeline Masters at Banzai Pipeline. The final event, hailed as the most prestigious, is held from Dec. 8 to 20. Keep an eye out for 2004’s wild card champ, and North Shore native, Jamie O’Brien (pictured).
